Audar — Privacy Policy

Audar ("we", "our", "the app") is an AI-powered consecutive interpreter application. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Account data: Phone number (for authentication via OTP), display name, preferred language.
Usage data: Daily interpretation count, streak information, device identifier (for abuse prevention).
Audio data: Voice recordings are processed in real-time for speech-to-text conversion. Audio is NOT stored on our servers — it is processed and immediately discarded.
Chat messages: If you use the messenger feature, messages are stored to enable real-time translation and delivery.
Device information: Device type and a device identifier to prevent abuse of free tier limits.
Purchase data: Transaction IDs from App Store / Google Play (we do not see your payment details).

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide AI interpretation services (speech → text → interpretation → voice).
To manage your account and subscription status.
To prevent abuse (device-based usage limits).
To send you notifications about your free credits renewal (with your consent).
To improve our service quality.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not store your voice recordings.
We do not sell your data to third parties.
We do not use your data for advertising.
We do not store your payment card information.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to provide our functionality:

Anthropic (Claude) — AI interpretation engine. Text is sent for interpretation and not stored beyond the session.
ElevenLabs — Text-to-speech and speech-to-text. Audio is processed in real-time.
Supabase — Backend infrastructure (authentication, database, real-time messaging).
Apple / Google — In-app purchase processing.

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active.
Chat messages are retained for message delivery and history.
Usage tracking data is retained for 90 days.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and data.
Withdraw consent for notifications.

7. Children's Privacy

Audar is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app.
